I started yoga with Anne when I was 5 months pregnant.  I'd been to some yoga classes elsewhere but was looking for something closer to my house, and I found the advert for Stillness Within in my local magazine.  After exchanging some emails, I met Anne in her beautiful summer house and found that, as she was working with me on a one to one basis, she had been able to tailor the session to my personal needs .  I was always made to feel welcome and comfortable.  As my pregnancy progressed, she taught me relaxation and breathing techniques that would be useful during labour and birth, and they were!  I am really looking forward to starting my yoga again with her.

Prior to having major surgery on my knee I approached Anne to get as fit as possible and she arranged one-to-one instruction. In the calm atmosphere of her little cabin I learned simple, gentle exercises and relaxation. At first I thought it was too easy, but how wrong I was! I very soon began to feel the difference in my general fitness and wellbeing. I recovered very quickly from my operation and continue to do my exercises and relaxation at home. I hope to go back to Anne very soon to carry on with my yoga. I feel sure Anne’s instruction and understanding of my situation has aided my recovery and I would recomment her most highly.

At 45 I thought I would like to give yoga a go. Never tried it before as I thought you had to be very flexible (I can’t even touch my toes). A busy working mother of 2 children I don’t get a lot of ‘me’ time. WOW! I loved the yoga lessons by Anne, the cabin being a real tranquil place, I really felt relaxed but regenerated at the same time. I found it helped my posture and it was very therapeutic. The smooth and gentle movements created an inner peach and helped with my stress from my busy working day. If only I could practice yoga everyday!

I started coming to dru yoga over a year ago whilst suffering with depression.  Anne's yoga has helped me along a very difficult journey but to spend each week in a log cabin not just doing yoga moves but also repeating affirmations spending time being at peace, feeling calm and serene.  A feeling which I struggled with outside the cabin.  However, a year on I have come such a long way am now back at work and enjoying spending time with my friends and family.  Yoga has taught me what I do have rather than what I don't have!  Anne is truly an inspirational woman who is totally giving in her yoga and goes far beyond the realms of what you would expect in a yoga class!  The courage and strength I have shown over the year has even surprised me but I pay huge thanks for Anne who come into my life a year ago.

I’ve been attending Anne’s “Stillness Within” yoga classes for a few years now. I love Anne’s style of teaching which is very caring, professional and tailored to meet individual needs. As soon as I enter the ‘cabin’ I feel the peace and tranquility. The moves are always gentle but I do feel like I’ve worked hard.
